IZOLTECH PUR FOAM INSULATION
SPRAY INSULATION
The initial installations of semi-rigid spray polyurethane foam date back to the 1950s. Since then, this type of insulation has proven to be the best and most durable way to insulate.
Polyurethane, known as PUR or PU foam, is a high-performance polymer that is made by combining two components - a polyol and an isocyanate. The resulting foam, sprayed onto any substrate, at the point of application, produces an insulating layer free of thermal bridges, while also providing a vapor barrier and being non-absorbent. As the only insulator, it maintains unchanged physical parameters over time. It is resistant to aggressive chemical environments. The method of manufacturing this insulator eliminates joints, which are the weakness of all other insulations. Proper selection of the thickness of the foam layer excludes the formation of the so-called dew point.
EFFECTIVE INSULATION
PUR foam is applied by spray method, using modern high-pressure units. The spraying process is relatively fast - it consists in evenly applying the foam to the substrate. Within seconds, the foam rises and cures, forming a monolithic protective membrane. In the case of interior filling, it is possible to trim the excess foam, making it perfectly adaptable to the shape of the surface to be filled. In the case of exterior spraying, the PUR foam should be covered with an additional coat of paint or varnish, which protects the insulation from UV radiation and ensures the aesthetic appearance of the surface for many years.
PUR FOAM INSULATION
Polyurethane foams can be used both indoors and to protect outdoor structures. PUR foam membranes are not only excellent insulation in the field of construction, but also a good solution for other industries. Polyurethane is a completely chemically inert, non-toxic and odorless substance, so the material is successfully used in the food industry.
Closed-cell foam insulation with a density of about 40 kg/m3 provides a uniform, gas-tight layer - absolutely free of thermal bridges - this allows, for example, to make refrigeration chambers with a controlled atmosphere for storing fruits and vegetables. In horticulture and farming, polyurethane is used to seal and insulate storage halls. The use of PUR foam guarantees excellent thermal insulation of livestock facilities, and thus reduces production costs.
Closed-cell and open-cell PUR foam
Closed-cell foam insulation with a density of about 60 kg/m3 is particularly suitable for thermal insulation of roofs and flat roofs. Polyurethane foam, allows significant simplification in the construction of efficient thermal insulation of flat roofs, by eliminating some of the elements found in traditional systems. Polyurethane foam itself, applied by hydrodynamic spray technology, provides effective thermal and hydro insulation, without joints, which is extremely important for flat roofs.
Open-cell foam insulation with a low density of 8-15 kg/m3 is ideal for thermal and acoustic insulation of buildings. It is applicable for insulation of attics, building facades, insulation of interior partitions, and floors. Excellent thermal-acoustic insulation with a coefficient of 0.5 effectively insulates the building and individual rooms from external noises. The coefficient of 0.5 means that PUR foam attenuates half of harmful and annoying sounds.
We use all of the above methods for:
ATTIC INSULATION - CEILING INSULATION - WALL INSULATION - FOUNDATION INSULATION - ROOF INSULATION - INSULATION FOR INDUSTRIAL HALLS AND WAREHOUSES - INSULATION FOR LIVESTOCK BUILDINGS
